How often i have to change my car's air filter?

modern air filters are rated pretty high mileage (30K to 50K). That's almost 3 to 5 years. The old donut shaped filters should be replace once a year.

But that's not to say you shouldn't replace them earlier. From time to time, take a look at the filter. It the filter is dirty (or dark), change them. They aren't that expensive.

Don't go crazy with %26quot;re-usable%26quot; filters. They are not expensive to just replace. How often i have to change my car%26039;s air filter?
once you have the air filter removed, tap it litely on the cement, this will remove more particles, then take a trouble-light and shine it from the inside of the filter out.if you can see light shining through it readily,it's alright.if the light doesn't shine through readily, then get a new filter.

A good rule of thumb is every other oil change whether it needs it or not. They aren't that expensive. If money is a problem, go 3 oil changes. Dusty conditions, do it more often. How often i have to change my car%26039;s air filter?
Best thing to do is get a K%26amp;N filter. Not only do you get better fuel milage and performance but you clean it instead of replace it. they have factory replacement models for just about every vehicle out there!
