in my book and still dont know where they are,be very grateful for any help you can offer ,thanksCan anyone please tell me how to change the air and pollen filters on a saab 95 2.3t w reg have looked?
The cabin air filter is located behind the HVAC controls, and it accessible from the footwell on the passengers side of the vehicle. It requires you to remove the glovebox, which is held in with something like 7 screws, and a small plastic panel, held in with the plastic plugs. After removing those, there is an electrical unit that is located behind where the glovebox once was; remove that from its clip, and shift it accordingly, as you will now be sliding the cabin air filter out from behind the centrally located HVAC controls (This was a pain for me). Additionally, there should be some foam that goes around some piping above the filter, this should be replaced as well. Be sure to clear out any leaves and major stuff that is in the area in which the new filter goes. Then just go through the steps backwards to put the new filter and foam back in.

As for the air filter for the engine, that is located in front of the passenger side front wheel at the bottom of the bumper. At least in the 2006 9-5, it is located in a plastic box which has a snorkel leading up to the front grill. To access it, there are 4 torx screws holding a panel on the bottom of the box. Unscrew these, remove the panel and the engine air filter should drop down. Then just reverse the steps to put it back in.

Hopefully this helps. I am not sure if things might be slightly different on earlier models, and I may have missed a small step here or there, but this is what I remember doing when I changed the filters about a year ago. Good luck.
