How do you change the air filters on 2000 mercedes s500?

Im trying to remove the cover I want to replace them with K%26amp;n filtersHow do you change the air filters on 2000 mercedes s500?
IIRC, you lift the engine cover straight up, and flip it over, they should be under the engine cover. K%26amp;N air filters have been suspected as a leading cause of Mass Airflow Sensor and Oxygen sensor failures. The stock filters flow fairly well already, are you sure you want to do this.

I may be thinking of the old body style, if this does not work let me know. How do you change the air filters on 2000 mercedes s500?

check you car mannual, it should also tell you. below is a little instructions.

Every cold air intake system is slightly different. Don't attempt to force off tubes or air boxes. Check to see if all fasteners are removed first. Parts should come apart easily.

Locate the cold air intake system on your engine. Unfasten all clamps, clips, fasteners, hold-downs and hoses. Consult your owner's manual.

Carefully remove air box cover and air filter.

Air box cleaning is the key. Make sure it is free of dirt and debris.

Fit new air filter in the air box or clean it if it is a washable air filter, and reinstall any fasteners and hoses previously removed.
